Butcher’s account of the day
Whether you are a leisure cyclist or interested in serious training, the Minehead Cycling Club welcomes you to our website and hopes that you will be inspired to join us for a ride in the beautiful Exmoor and West Somerset countryside.
Minehead Cycling Club has about 40 members, of all ages and abilities. On our regular Sunday rides we typically split into two or three groups, depending on who is around on the day and how far members want to ride. This means that it is possible to choose how easy or hard you want to ride on that day.
Please have a look around our website (using the tabs at the top of the page or the ‘search’ box). The Rides page will tell you some of the trips we have taken recently and more about where we meet. We host two Audax rides a year and various other events. See the Calendar page for details.
Try the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page if you are not sure if your bicycle is suitable (or don’t have a bike yet), what to wear or if you are fit enough. We have included a few Links to websites that might of interest and a page with contact details if you would like to find out more about our Club.
The Members page gives information that might be of use to Club members and is password protected.
We hope to see you out on the road soon!
